The Department of History at Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya Kotabagh, Nainital was established in the year 2020 with a profound commitment to unraveling the rich tapestry of the past. - There are many opportunities in archeological survey of India and ministry of information and broadcasting.
- If there interest in business along with history, then there are options for the students to conduct sales auction in the auction house and researcher.
- Apart from this, students can also find employment in teaching, journalism, libraries, curators, archives, mugium, international organization, historic society, national park service.

- Histrografical literacy, student will be able to identify and describe the contours and stakes of conversation among historians within define hypsographical fields
- Critical thinking students will learn to apply historical methods to evaluate critically the record of the past and how historian and others have interrupted it.
- Research skills students will acquire basic historical research skills including (as appropriate) the effective use of liberies, archives and data bases.
